Role Overview
The SST (Social Science Teacher) will be responsible for developing students’ understanding of History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Social Studies concepts in alignment with CBSE curriculum standards. The role involves encouraging analytical thinking, awareness of social and global issues, and active classroom participation among students.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging SST lessons for TGT (Classes 6–10) and PGT (Classes 11–12).
Teach subjects including History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and related Social Science topics effectively.
Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical, and research skills.
Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessment materials.
Conduct regular tests, evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to students.
Use interactive teaching methods, discussions, case studies, maps, and presentations to enhance learning.
Encourage participation in quizzes, debates, exhibitions, and co-curricular activities related to Social Science.
Maintain discipline and create a positive classroom environment.
Participate in academic planning, parent meetings, and school events.
Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes and examination patterns.
Qualifications
TGT: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science/History/Geography/Political Science/Economics + B.Ed (Mandatory)
PGT: Master’s Degree in History/Geography/Political Science/Economics/Social Science + B.Ed (Mandatory)
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of CBSE curriculum.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to engage students through interactive and practical teaching methods.
Minimum 1 year teaching experience preferred.
